I help people understand the logistics and engineering of designing and constructing large ocean infrastructure like offshore wind farms.
Whether you're already working in the sector or have an interest in understanding it better, my courses and events are designed to enhance your ability to contribute and make decisions resulting in better projects.
I also offer consultancy if you have a project or team that could do with a helping hand.
I'm a Naval Architect, offshore engineer and project manager with a passion for helping people develop ocean infrastructure in a way that's safer, better for its developers and owners, the environment and our wider society.
Over twenty years my career has delved into most corners of the offshore industry. From ports, shipyards and offshore vessel designers to engineering consultancies, EPC contractors, warranty surveyors, insurers, offshore wind and oil & gas developers at every phase of project development.
Nowadays, I contribute to the development of better ocean infrastructure by drawing on this eclectic experience to share lessons learnt, best practice and helping others develop their knowledge and skills. If you'd like to talk, get in touch.
I'm developing a series of online courses for those in the offshore industry looking to develop their skills in specific areas. You can see them all here. Register your interest and I'll let you know when they're available. If there's something you're after that you don't see here then get in touch and I'll see if I can help. Selected courses can be given in-person for locations in the APAC region.
Which course is right for me? The following are the audience classifications for my events and courses.
Aimed at giving a detailed understanding of a topic to those without a technical background or prior industry knowledge.
For package managers, warranty surveyors, project engineers and anyone commissioning or reviewing engineering by others, but not performing engineering themselves.
For those with a technical background but not necessarily domain-specific knowledge who wish to carry out common engineering tasks (FEED level or below) or broaden their technical knowledge in a specific area.
For those with a relevant technical background and some domain-specific knowledge who wish to deepen their knowledge and professional expertise in a specific area at a detailed engineering level.
